Jimmy Imoyin Sampson, born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, has cultivated a deep musical journey. After completing high school, he already possessed a basic foundation in keyboard playing and had a strong desire to further develop his skills. In 2005, he decided to enroll at the Gospel Meditation Band Music School (GBMS) in Port Harcourt.

Upon graduating from GBMS, Jimmy initially pursued a career as a church keyboardist until 2010 when he discovered his passion for the saxophone. This marked a turning point in his musical journey as he decided to focus on mastering the instrument. Throughout his career, Jimmy has drawn inspiration from notable figures such as Kirk Whalum, Fela Kuti, Dave Koz, Mike Aremu, and Yemi Sax.

Over the years, Jimmy has had the privilege of performing alongside renowned musicians and touring various parts of the country. His dedication to honing his craft has allowed him to carve out a unique niche for himself.

Jimmy is a multi-instrumentalist with great versatility and dynamism, blending afrocentric rhythms with elements of jazz in his music.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Jimmy has been actively involved in the music business and information technology. He is the founder of Jay Musicals, All Things Music, TMC, and Alprosel Technologies. He also served as an instructor for Mikary Music Academy, teaching saxophone and music business courses; from early 2018 to 2019, he transitioned into the role of the academy's manager.

Despite his busy schedule as a practicing field engineer, Jimmy continues to make time to share his musical talents with others.
